OBSTACLE DETECTION ASSIST OPTION This option helps prevent the risk of collision between the upper part of the boom and obstacles in the work area. It provides operational assistance to the operator in environments where visibility is obstructed or restricted. Obstacle Detection Assist (ODA) is particularly suited for operations in cluttered environments, near valuable and/or large objects, such as in aviation or museum settings. The system includes 10 ultrasonic sensors and a laser to effectively detect obstacles. If an obstacle is detected, the operator is alerted via both an audible and visual alarm on the human-machine interface. If the operator continues to approach the obstacle, the machine’s movements are then automatically stopped.
