Walking With the Prodigal “Meeting the Skeptic with Grace” John 20:24-29; 1 Timothy 2:3-6 May 9-10, 2026 Series Synopsis Walking With is a series designed to help us open our eyes to the people God has placed around us. Instead of rushing past their stories, we learn to notice, pray for, and walk alongside them—and to let others walk with us. The carabiner symbol is our reminder that God connects us on purpose and that Christian community is built one intentional relationship at a time. Today’s Message A prodigal is anyone who has stepped outside trusting the story of Jesus. God moves toward the wandering— and so should we. Thomas struggles to believe the resurrection report. Jesus meets him personally rather than shaming him. Move toward unbelief with grace. Offer encounter rather than accusation. Welcome Open with prayer, then introduce yourselves as you each answer: What’s your favorite “redemption story” in a movie, show, or book —where a character totally turns around? Read John 2
