Walking With the Prodigal “Becoming the Father, Not the Brother” Luke 15:11-32; Romans 8:18-28 May 16-17, 2026 Series Synopsis Walking With is a series designed to help us open our eyes to the people God has placed around us. Instead of rushing past their stories, we learn to notice, pray for, and walk alongside them—and to let others walk with us. The carabiner symbol is our reminder that God connects us on purpose and that Christian community is built one intentional relationship at a time. Today’s Message The father runs toward his returning son. The older brother resents. Walking with prodigals reveals whether we mirror the father’s grace or the brother’s bitterness. Keep the door open. Refuse resentment. Trust God’s unseen work in wandering hearts. Welcome Open with prayer, then introduce yourselves as you each answer: When you’ve been away from home for a while, what are you most excited to see/have/experience when you return?
