April 10, 1912 I was happy to board the great Titanic this morning at Southampton. Accompanying me are my valet, Victor Giglio, and my mistress, Mrs. Aubart. I was planning on traveling across the North Atlantic on the Lusitania, but that was not to be, as she needed repairs. The ship to replace her was called the Carmania. I would have taken her, but I changed my mind. Of course, I had heard of White Star Line’s humongous Titanic. In a sudden twist of events, I bought tickets for this mighty ship. I was placed in room B-84. My ticket number is 17593. It cost £79!
