Gangster: Formal suit, black shoes. I chose this costume because this is the stereotypical Gangster attire and the audience will immediately conform to and recognise the character. The use of the suit resembles the wealth of the gangster amongst his formality and the sense that this is business. Hostage: Smart shirt, casual navy/black trousers, smart/casual shoes. I have made this costume choice because the Hostage himself is most likely part of a gangster organisation and therefore, he would be dressed to a suitable level of formality but most likely not in his finery. I found it difficult to decide on the Hostage’s costume because a hostage could be wearing any form of clothing at the time of his capture. Henchman: Suit, black shoes, a tie that ‘stands out’ I wanted the henchman to wear a suit to demonstrate to the audience that he is clearly a member of a gang.
