The 9.0 is more new but if you want take a view of Manjaro Linux OS (Arch Linux derivative distribution) With the Gnome 3.12 -> 3.14 Desktop. It's the fast way to get immersive user experience and simple but powerfull distros oriented ARCH way and novice user can tries It's not reseved only to advanced users. If you begin with GNU / Linux (ARCH) is good but Manjaro is perfect. Take this version it's come now in stable process and stay in roll'n'release with 3.14.22-1 or 3.16 & 3.17 LTS Version and GUI or CLI Installer and the MISO810DGS3.iso can give a good live disk or usb key, to many usages, like rescue disk, backup disk, install disk. . . .
