Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has indicated the FY 2015 National Defense
Authorization Act (NDAA) will be a major legislative focus when Congress returns to Washington
next week. Some think this call for action by Sen. Reid may just be electioneering considering
that the House finished its version of the bill months ago, and the Senate Armed Services
Committee (SASC) did the same. The holdup has been that the SASC bill has not been brought
to the Senate floor—a move totally in the control of the majority leader.
