Writing a Great Script by
Jos Timmer
Jos Timmer has been directing and writing scripts for nearly two decades.
He is among the top writer directors of his time. He shares his
experience and gives useful tips to newbies looking to get into this
entertainment industry.
Timmerjos first tip to beginners is to watch classic movies. They will not
only thrill but will inspire them to direct good movies. The plot of the movie
should be simple. If the plot is complicated, audience will lose interest
easily. The movie should have a very good start to keep the audience
captured to the end.
Every movie should have an overall goal. Movies without any meaning or
purpose do not go well with the audience. According to Mr Timmer, the
main character of the film needs to be interesting and likeable. The
character can shown to have some flaws to add a touch of reality and so that
the audience can empathize with him. Screen writing needs practice and
aim to refine even the best of your scripts.
