Volume No 03 – Issue No 02 george orwell IS QUOTED AS SAYING: “Journalism is printing what someone else does not want printed: everything else is public relations.” Right now, it’s difficult not to come across controversial material in media. Our political landscape has never been more heated, and we’ve only begun to digest ma- terial that makes us uncomfortable, sad, even angry. It’s important to remember Orwell’s words, however. Not everything that’s printed in black and white is pretty, easy, or funny. Some of it’s dark, tumultuous, and emotional. At Our Grinnell, our goal is to inform the community of both - the joys of living in Grinnell, but its failings, as well. The truth, although sometimes remarkably difficult to face, often brings us our greatest growth.
