PLANNING STUDY FACT SHEET For more than 100 years, Saint Matthew Cathedral Parish has been a place where people encounter Christ through the sacraments, prayer, faith formation and service. As the co-cathedral of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend, we welcome people from across northern Indiana for diocesan celebrations while serving as the spiritual home of a thriving parish, vibrant Catholic school and dedicated ministries that touch lives every day. Today, we have an opportunity to build on that legacy by creating spaces that will serve our parish family and our diocese for generations to come. We need new space for important ministries like Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Many parts of the old Cathedral Center which houses these ministries are in serious disrepair. Our Cathedral lacks handicapped accessible restrooms.
