Beyoncé and some of her entourage took time out from
their busy schedule to visit adoring fans Thursday.
She and her crew were greeted by gasps and giggles when
they stopped at St. Mark’s Episcopal Day School in Brunswick.
Beyoncé was a bit smaller in stature than expected, though
no less loved.
This wasn’t the famed singer. It was a Tennessee Fainting
Goat – just two weeks old – of the same name.
Carried in by her owner, JessicaAldridge of Souter’s Farms
in Brunswick told the youth how the goat got its name.
“She was the runt, but she was a survivor, so we named her
Beyoncé,” said Aldridge, referring to the song “Survivor” by
Destiny’s Child, of which Beyoncé was once a part.
The goat brought its own entourage: three baby chicks that
were just three days old.
Aldridge’ssister,JenniferRose,isdirectorofthedayschool
and the two put their minds together to find a creative way to
teach the young pupils about spring, rebirth and renewal.
