Ok, It can be many things. The ac unit gets frozen because the following;
Little or no airflow, due to dirty air filter, burn out motor on the blower, broken belt on the blower.
Make sure you give your ac unit at least 10 hours of break. If you live your ac running for too long
the ac unit freezes. To fix this type of problem you must get a 7 day programable t-stat.
If you got all these you gotta call a technician to check your refrigerant pressure. It may be too low
on it.
