Question: It has to focus in the problem, so the answer of the question should approach you to the problem solution. It has to be concrete. Hypothesis: Is a tentative answer to a question. It is also known as an educated answer to the question, based on experience and information. It has to be testable and falsifiable. Prediction: It shows how you are going to test the hypothesis. In the prediction you are going to write what should happen if the hypothesis is correct (cause – effect), this is why it should have the form: “If…………….Then” Variables: Scientists use an experiment to search for cause and effect relationships in nature. In other words, they design an experiment so that changes to one item cause something else to vary in a predictable way. These changing quantities are called variables. A
