How To Submit the 2024–25 FAFSA® Form if Your Contributor Doesn't Have an SSN Only use these tips to help you submit the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to meet critical deadlines for non-federal aid. There is currently an issue preventing contributors without a Social Security number (SSN) from starting or accessing the 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form. Until it’s resolved, you (the student) can follow the steps below to submit your form if you have a contributor without an SSN. These steps should ONLY be used when an applicant: • Must have a FAFSA submission date to meet critical state, institutional or other scholarship organization aid deadlines; and • Has required contributors who don’t have an SSN. IMPORTANT: Following these instructions will result in an incomplete FAFSA submission that must be corrected at a later date.
