used. There are various types of historical evidences that can
attest whether a certain event in past really did happen or

1. Historical Documents – These are documents that
existed in the past and have been preserved up to the
present. These may include laws, accounts of battles, or the exploits of the
powerful. Though these documents are of historical interest, they do not
detail the daily lives of ordinary people, or the way society functioned.
2. Historical Photographs – These photos and images have been captured
sometime in the past and, for some reasons, were preserved until the
present. They show significant events, people, and places, and may serve as
a clear proof that a certain episode in the past really did occur.
