PD-ports owned Teesport is a deep-water container port and warehousing facility on the North Sea adjacent the mouth of the River Tee, with national motorway as well as railway access. Shell is supplying a temporary LNG fuel facility with its partners, Dutch LNG tank rental company Schenk, Dutch LNG small scale contractor Liqal, UK developer of SCADA for LNG-fuelled systems Unitrove, and UK ports owner PD Ports. Shell will not only supply bunkering facilities but will also supply LNG fuel to two ethylene (LEG) carriers chartered to SABIC, having already completed the first LNG bunkering to the ships in May. Dutch LNG fleet owner Antony Veder’s dual fuel LEG carriers “Coral Star” and “Coral Sticho” were delivered from Chinese shipyard Avic Dingheng to SABIC in 2014. They operate between SABIC’s Wilton facility on Teesside to manufacturing plants in northwest Europe and Scandinavia. SABIC will build the permanent LNG-bunkering facility on its own jetty, slated for completion later in 2015
