Once built, Jafrabad will be a 5 mill tonnes per annum LNG receiving terminal, with one jetty moored FSRU. Going forward, the two partners intend to expand the terminal to 10 mill tonnes per year, by installing a second FSRU. Swan has secured all the necessary permits for the project and the concession agreement is ready for execution, Exmar said. Both parties are currently in negotiation with EPC contractors for the breakwater, jetties, topsides and onshore receiving facilities. Several financial institutions have already expressed their interest in supporting the project and a final investment decision is planned for the first half of 2016. Heads of Agreements are in place for an initial 4.5 mill tonnes per year regasification capacity, over a period of 20 years.
