Faced with the discontinuation of support from the Salvation Army, the Enderby Community Food Bank has been restructured into the Feed Enderby & District Food Bank, or FED. The Vernon-based Sally Ann informed food bank volunteers in an Oct. 1 letter that it was no longer able to carry the Enderby food bank under its umbrella due to its own structural and financial challenges and Enderby’s accumulated deficit of more than $6,000 for bills and food. It has withdrawn its financial and staff support and has forgiven the outstanding debt.
