The Regional District of North Okanagan board gave its unanimous support to send a non-farm use application from John and June deDood to the Agricultural Land Commission for consideration. The farm is located at the corner of Grandview Bench Road and Hwy. 97A and is operated by John and June along with sons Jared and Curtis and daughter-in-law Britney. It has a dairy barn with robotic milking and 3,200 square feet of space they want to use for a store that will be known as Farmer John’s. The deDood family has 50 years in the dairy industry and John is eager to take the next step into the realm of agri-tourism.
