FREE June 17, 2016 | Volume 7, No.04 FREE June 17, 2016 | Volume 7, No.04 River RiverTALK TALK Community support has stocked the empty shelves of the Feed Enderby & Dis- trict Food Bank (FED). A food drive held June 2 in conjunction with the Blackway movie premiere generat- ed enough food to re-stock shelves left bare after the May food bank and cash to add to the bank balance. “I was overwhelmed by (producer) Rick Dugdale’s generosity to put us on the tick- et…it was probably the most exciting thing to happen in Enderby for the year,” said FED chair Scott Hemenway. “And then to see the generosity of the people who came in…to say we’re overwhelmed is not over- stating it.” The event brought in almost 1,500 pounds of food plus close to $6,000 from donations at the gate and a 50/50 draw run by volun- teers from Enderby and District Financial. “It did bring back the cupboards to a rea- sonable place.
