The non-profit group running the 15-unit affordable housing development on Granville Avenue is submitting a proposal to BC Housing for a 36-unit structure. Memorial Terrace manager Barry Fawcett said it is taking advantage of a BC Housing request for proposals (RFP) to create affordable rental housing for low and moderate income seniors and people with disabilities in the Okanagan area. Barry said the goal is to include some services with the housing to fit the needs of the community. “Our proposal is for supportive housing as part of their request for proposals for low income and disabled seniors,” he explained. “Ask any service provider in the North Okanagan – it’s not so much low income housing that is needed but a service package.” Such a hospitality package would include meals twice a day plus a coffee bar,
