The IODE street bake
sale is always popular.
Jean Lovin and Angela
Killen had no trouble
selling out with their
annual bake sale this
week, and, if you wanted to buy some of their
fabulous baked goods,
you had to be quick ,
like Judy Dangel. The
bake sale raised approximately $675.... and if you
would like to know what
IODE does with funds
raised, see page 10.
Everyone is cordially
invited to the 10th Gordon
Dale Trail Golf Tournament,
held Saturday, May 24th at the
Mable Lake Gold and Country
Club.
This year’s charitable event
will raise funds to assist in reestablishing the Kingfisher
Interpretive Centre’s walking
trails, destroyed in the recent
devastating mudslide.
“Silt, sand and debris are
covering the walking trails
that would normally allow for
access to the river and the creek.
With our help, the trails can be
cleared, allowing for visitors
to once again enjoy nature at
its finest,” said Judy Fischer,
