Dear Diary,
April 9th, 1912
I am very excited to board the Titanic. I have heard very pleasant things from my
acquaintances. I was originally on a different ship, but there was a coal strike, so I switched to the
Titanic The room I will be staying in until we reach our destination will be room E13. the
Titanic is such an elegant and extravagant place. Since .I just bought my second class ticket
number 237671 for 13 .I will not have the most finest room, but I'm sure that it will be very
decent. I boarded the titanic in the Southampton.
I just finished celebrating my 38th birthday. I was born on April, 1874 in
Bally, Pennsylvania. I had a splendid time with some of my bests friends.
I attended the State Normal School at West Chester ,
Pa. I also attended the Mennonite Training school in Northfield ,
Mass.
Before I boarded the Titanic, I lived in Janjgir,
India. I also taught 17 girls in my school.
