Saffola life study 2013 reveals that 72%^ Bangaloreans are
at high cardiovascular disease risk
• As per the Saffola life Study more than 70%^^ of Urban Indians are at CVD risk

Bangalore, September 26, 2013: The Saffola life Study 2013*, India’s largest study on risk
factors precipitating heart disease, found that more than 70% of 1.86 lakh^^ Urban Indian
respondents are at cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk. When the study was conducted among
19,897^ Bangalore respondents over a period of three years, it was found that a substantial 72%
of them had a high risk of contracting cardiovascular disease (CVD). Although 28% of
Bangalore participants indulged in physical activity four times a week or more, higher in
