BACKGROUNDER
Fueled by Ramen, established in 1996, is a record label in New York City, N.Y.
The label was founded by John Janick and Vinnie Fiorello when the two were college
students in Gainesville, Fla. The students were inspired by the artists they loved who
were seemingly overlooked by the majority. They decided to create a label dedicated to
promoting these punk-rock/pop bands who needed to be heard.
From 1998 through 2003, the label saw hard work pay off as they began working
with bands Jimmy Eat World, The Underdog and Fall Out Boy. The label prides itself on
the unique experience provided through a sincere relationship between them and their
artists. Fueled by Ramen finds it important for a band to be part of the entire process of
creating their album and establishing an identity as a group.
In the following years, the label saw tremendous growth by uniting fans and
artists through an online presence
