The Solar System consists of the Sun and the astronomical
objects which orbit around the Sun. The planets that orbit around
the sun are divided into:
Inner planets and they are four Mercury, Venus, Earth and
Mars. The inner planets are also called the terrestrial planets and
they are primarily composed of rock and metal.
Outer planets and they are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and
Neptune. The outer planets are also called the gas giants.
Ceres, Pluto and Eris are Dwarf Planets.
