Why are videos used in ESL classes? What are their advantages?
Introduction
The educational process has changed during these decades, due to the influence
of information and communication technology. These changes have forced
teachers and students to adopt new didactic materials to teach and learn.
Teachers and students need to rethink about the use of new and different tools
which can be applied in the learning process.The use of computers, internet,
videos, and other technological resources are increasing, “ITC instruments used in
education will lead to displacement of emphases from the teacher centred learning
environment to one student centred, where teachers no longer present the key
source of information but their collaborators”1
.
