NOTICE DRAFT DR BEYERS NAUDE SPATIAL DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS NOTICE NUMBER 36/2025 Notice is hereby given that the Draft Dr Beyers Naude Municipal Spatial Development Framework (SDF) is available for public comment, in terms of Section 20 of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 (SPLUMA) and Section 29 of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (MSA). The SDF is a long-term strategic planning document that spatially indicates the desired future growth and development path of a municipality, informed by the development principles set out in Section 7 of SPLUMA, which relates to spatial justice, spatial sustainability, efficiency, spatial resilience and good administration. The SDF is one of the core components of a Municipal Integrated Development Plan (IDP), and gives physical-spatial effect to the vision, goals and objectives of the IDP.
