Diesel / Earthmoving Field Mechanic Responsibilities The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to: • Complete inspections • Removal and installation of parts • Maintenance • Basic diagnosis and troubleshooting • Testing • General repairs Desired Skills and Qualifications: • Five years previous experience of construction/heavy equipment is a requirement. • Excellent mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of the following systems: engine, power train, hydraulics and electrical. • Must have a code 8 driver’s licence It would be expected of the successful candidate to work on remote sites and assume duties throughout the Sothern Cape.
