As the summer months come to a close, vacation memories fade into the distance as we prepare to shop for school uniforms, computers, dorm room furniture, or other back-to- school essentials. For many Americans, this year’s back-to-school sea- son may be particularly stressful with continued eco- nomic uncertainty and worries about increased costs related to tariffs on the horizon. According to the 2025 Deloitte Back-to-School Survey, back-to-school spend- ing will likely remain level, with an anticipated spend of approximately $570 per student.
