work lives often take a toll on our
physical selves. Many weekend
warriors can attest to aches and
pains, strains, or worse when they
pursue their recreational lives.
Joseph Pilates intended his form
of exercise, which now bears his
name, to give people energy to
enjoy their lives.
Pilates is core-based exercise.
Without a strong back and abdominals, sitting at a desk can become very painful. Even a simple
game of catch, a swing of the golf
club, or a game of tennis can lead
to injury. Pilates can be a way to
prevent such injuries in our daily
lives and enhance our recreational selves. Mr. Pilates believed that
