The other day, I was studying a map of South America. Did you know that the Panama Canal is located in an actual country that's called Panama? I didn't know that. I figured the canal was named after some famous guy named Panama, just like how the Hoover Dam is named after some famous guy named Herbert Hoover. I figured there was some South American guy with a name like Huckleberry Panama. But apparently, Panama is a country. What is it like to live in a country whose main feature is a fucking canal? Can you take pride in that? "We're a famous country--best known for being in the way of two oceans, and then getting out of the way of two oceans.
