The special topic calls for papers on Hydrogen Energy and such papers will appear in the journal Energy
Science and Technology as a special column.
Description
Among various renewable energy sources, hydrogen is an important fuel for its high energy generation rate and water as the
only byproduct and can be considered as an environmentally clean fuel.
It has been widely used in many industrial
applications.
Hydrogen is a zero-emission fuel which uses electrochemical cells or combustion in internal engines, to power
vehicles and electric devices.
It is also used in the propulsion of spacecraft and can potentially be mass-produced and
commercialized for passenger vehicles and aircraft.
However, most of the hydrogen in the world is still being produced
from fossil fuels, which have a negative impact on global warming.
