Mechanical engineering senior Corey
Brown said the main thing students need to
work on the Formula SAE team is time management skills.
New members are expected
to work at least 20 hours a week on the SAE
car, while senior members spend more than
40 hours per week year-round to perfect the
vehicle.
Brown, who is also the chief engineer
for the team, said being on the team opens
up great opportunities for members.
“We go beyond the classroom,” Brown
said.
