As enrollment continues to increase,
the demand for student housing is attracting outside developers.
American Campus Communities
Inc.
will begin construction in June
2012 of a still unnamed UTA student
apartment complex that was unanimously approved Tuesday by the Arlington City Council.
The project will give UTA student
residents the ability to walk or bike to
their classes, and the property is also on
the university’s shuttle route to campus,
ACC Development Director Chuck Carroll said.
“UT Arlington jumped in second
place as the largest growing university in the UT System,” Carroll said.
