This semester, broadcast students
will get more hands-on experience by
filming newscasts and covering university sports.
Beginning next month, students
will shoot weekly newscasts for university cable channel 99.
Some students
will also film sports beginning with
the men’s basketball game Wednesday
night.
Games will be posted in their entirety on the university athletics Web site
along with game highlights, said Andrew Clark, communication assistant
professor and broadcast director.
“If we just put raw footage of the
game, it’s conceivable it could be on the
Web site an hour or two after the game,”
Clark said.
