TUITION AND FEES MAC facilities have higher fee BY LARISSA ROBINSON The Shorthorn staff All campus recreation membership fees will increase next fall after phaseone renovations to the Activities Building are complete, Campus Recreation director Sharon Carey said. Faculty, staff and retiree fees will increase from $40 to $80 per semester with a variety of payment options, like being able to pay $20 per month, Carey said. Previously, the fees were broken down by months. Members were charged $40 for September through August, $30 for January through August and $15 for June through August. Carey said other universities’ faculty and staff are paying the same amount. “When faculty and staff come into the facility and utilize the new services and equipment available to them, I am confident they will see the building is worth far more than the $20 monthly payment plan,” she said.
