The College of Business
administration has begun researching the cost to make
a feasibility study for renovating its basement for more
space and student lounging.
Consultants came to the
university and did their first
walk-throughofthebasement
last week and are expected to
do many more before giving
their final estimate on what
the study will cost said David
Gray, business administration
associate dean.
Architects and
engineers are also on campus
helping with the project.
Gray said the earliest projected time for renovation to
begin will be about a year,
then another 12 to 15 months
to complete.
The unofficial plans for the
basement include more classrooms, space for graduate assistants, a study space and
moving all business student
organizations to the area.
A coffee shop or something
similar is also in the works,
depending on the amount of
space, Gray said.
