Swords clash into each
other as theater students
rehearse for the upcoming
play in the stage studio in
the Fine Arts Building.
Clang.
Clang.
Bang.
Bang.
Psychology junior Joshua Cummins said he recalls how fun it is, yet how
physically demanding the
play itself can be.
“There’s a lot of fighting.
There’s dance, there’s
swordplay, there’s some
unarmed,” Cummins said.
“These characters are very
over-the-top, and so we, as
actors, are also physically
over-the-top.
”
The play Cummins is
rehearsing for, Goodnight
Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), is based on a
comedy written by AnnMarie MacDonald.
“There’s a lot of fun stuff
that is good because we
haven’t had a play that has
been this physically active
in a while,” Cummins said.
