conduct a conversation Tuesday
with university staff regarding
UTA’s future.
Members will participate in
a continued discussion of last
semester’s sessions with faculty
and department chairs from 2
to 4 p.
m.
in 100 Nedderman
Hall.
Jay Dickey, Staff Advisory
Council chair, organized the
staff involvement in the discussion.
“I’m really excited about this
opportunity,” said Dickey, university programmer analyst in
the Mechanical and Aerospace
Engineering Department.
“I’ve
been here for seven or eight
years, and this is the first time
we’ve been
asked for
input.
”
She said
the chance to
interact with
the administration about
the university’s future
was unique.
Becausemost
staff questions focus on the idea
of a more involved university
and the stated meeting agenda
emphasizes the changing status
of the university, there is a better
chance of their concerns being
taken seriously, she said.
