The Community Affairs Committee reviewed two resolutions
pertinent to upcoming constructionassumedtocreateproblemsfor
students in the coming months at
Tuesday’s Student Congress committee meeting.
The crosswalk resolution dealt
with problems for pedestrians at
UTA Boulevard and asked for inpavement lights across the crosswalk that would cost the city, which
has jurisdiction, $25,000.
That resolution was approved
unanimously.
The other resolution discussed
in detail focuses on current shuttle
buses’ limited routes and lack of
accessibility for students in wheelchairs.
With construction to begin next
semester and parking lots to be
closed, shuttle buses will likely be
more in demand, in particular with
students with disabilities.
