FINAL REPORT
INTRODUCTION
This self- assessment project aimed at fostering self-assessment in the language
teaching field engaging the instructor in the design and implementation of a strategic lesson
plan and different assessment methods in order to provide the necessary ground for learners
to grasp self-assessment process as an opportunity to identify their weaknesses and
strengths and subsequently monitor their own learning.
Throughout the aforementioned project, the teacher also had the opportunity to selfassess her teaching practice making decisions and judgments about the quality of her
performance in relation to a particular area for improvement.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
• To get learners to assess their performance in the foreign language in order to make
informed decisions in regards to their learning process.
• To integrate self-assessment into my teaching practice to reflect upon a specific issue
and propose strategies to solve it.
