INFORMATION FOR CANDIDATES Where are we? Calders is a little village located between the cities of Vic and Manresa in the Moianès region of Catalunya. It is a small village with approximately 1000 inhabitants. The town has many services. A small grocery shop, a bakery, a pair of restaurants and a medical center that opens specific days of the week. It is a very quiet village far from the noise of the city. 10 minutes by public transport is the town of Artés, which has many shops, restaurants and services. 25 minutes from Calders there’s the city of Manresa which is the biggest city of the region with many more services, shops etc. How is the school? The school of Calders is small. It has got approximately 90 students and 12 teachers. The school is part of Catalonia’s public school system managed by the Education Department of La Generalitat de Catalunya.
