Unsung heroes from Borehamwood
and Elstree got some well-deserved
recognition last month when they
were honoured for their work in the
community by the Mayor of Hertsmere.
Among those to be recognised by Pat
Strack at her Civic Dinner were 16-year-old
martial arts enthusiast Amber Gill from
Elstree, the youngest person to receive an
award, and 93-year-old Second World War
veteran Bill Davies from Borehamwood,
the oldest to receive the honour.
Councillor Pat Strack said the awards are
an opportunity to say thank you to those
who work for the good of the borough.
