has refused to respond to claims
his heart is not really in Herts after
he lost an election to be named as
a parliamentary candidate for the
Conservatives in Northampton.
Chris Hayward, who represents the
village at county and district level, lost
out in the Northampton South Open
Primary earlier this month.

deputy leader for Herts County Council
where he is also cabinet member for
Entreprise, Education and Skills.
