NEW FOOD BANK INUNDATED WITH VOLUNTEERS
Hundreds of people in Borehamwood
have been using a new food bank in
the town in the three months it has
been open, it has been revealed.
The facility was officially launched
recently and was supported by a number
of local dignitaries including town mayor
Clive Butchins and deputy mayor of
Hertsmere Carey Keates.
The food bank was established by
the Elstree and Borehamwood Christian
Council (EBCC), a group of 11 local
churches.
It’s also being backed by
national charity the Trussell Trust,
which helps local communities in the
UK combat poverty and Hertsmere
Together,agroupoflocalorganisations.
