TAKING SHAPE
The first ever head teacher for
the new Harperbury Free School
was announced last month. My
Radlett & Shenley News caught up
with Martin Blain to find out more
about his plans for the school.
Mr Blain, a graduate of Cambridge
University, is leaving his role of Deputy
Head at nearby Immanuel College
in Bushey to take on the position of
Founding Head at Harperbury.
The former engineer trained as a
maths teacher and has taught in a
wide range of schools as well as in
Africa. Mr Blain is no stranger to the
hard work of starting a free school as
he recently set one up himself, Alma
Primary in Finchley.
