The long running saga over the future
of Rickmansworth’s only hotel finally
drew to a close last month when local
planners passed an application to
demolish parts of the Long Island
Exchange.
Politicians unanimously approved
plans to replace parts of the historic
hotel with 33 flats and four houses
despite throwing out three previous
bids for the site in Victoria Close.
