Coastal Times investigations to ascertain the truth about this rumour has revealed that there is no eyei (fresh palm frond) or anything of sort near any of the Governor’s office/Lodge buildings. According to staff of Governor’s Office/Governor’s Lodge, the rumour making the rounds in the state which everyone working in the seat of government is aware is all rubbish. “There is no such thing near this place, how is it possible for anyone to come in here and place eyei,” for what and to achieve what purpose?
