Taken 2: Movie Review Marnie Juster For Auburn Family Published: October 17, 2012 Last week "Taken 2" starring Liam Neeson, Maggie Grace, Framke Janssen and Rade Šerbedžija was released. The film is a sequel to the 2008 film “Taken”, in which ex-CIA agent Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) searches for his kidnapped daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace), and ultimately kills off her kidnappers. The French action thriller film was directed by Oliver Megaton, written by Luc Besson and produced by 20th Century Fox and EuropaCorp. In the new film, Rade Šerbedžija (Murad Hoxha) whose son was killed in “Taken” seeks revenge and targets Mills and his family, who is vacationing in Istanbul. Mills and his ex-wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen), are kidnapped by the new villain, but Kim is able to avoid abduction. She then becomes responsible for saving her parents. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “Taken 2” grossed about $25 million more than the original "Taken" did during its opening weekend four years ago. Less
